Inventory Management

Inventory is the most critical
asset for any stocking distributor. The “effective management” of
inventory will minimize inventory levels while maximizing customer
fill rates, without sacrificing customer service. The
Touchstone/2000 Inventory Management application offers automated
replenishment capabilities based on Gordon Graham methodologies,
including Line Point and Vendor target analysis.
These costing methods are available for Inventory; FIFO, LIFO,
Weighted Average, Last and Standard cost. Items can be serialized or
lot controlled with all sales and purchasing detail retained for
reprinting of source documents and for reporting.
The Inventory application is interactive with most of the other
applications that comprise the Touchstone/2000 distribution
solution. Touchstone/2000 offers multi-warehouse capabilities, order
takers can view item stocking postions of all warehouses to help
them determine the best way to service customers.

Sales Order Entry

Sales Order Entry is fully
integrated to Sales and Vendor Quotation, Inventory, Kiting,
Purchasing, Freight Management, Job Location and General Ledger
applications. The Sales Order Entry application is designed to be
comprehensive but yet easy to use. Virtually any piece of
information a customer service representative needs access to is
available from the order entry application. Optionally Sales Orders
can automatically be fax'ed and a fully integrated web commerce
solution allows for customers and outside sales representatives to
enter quotes and sales orders using the internet.
A sales order can include stock, nonstock, vendor direct and
kitted items all on the same initial order. Sales orders can be
created as regular, ship complete, will call or vendor direct. The
level of system permission given to the order taker will affect
their ability to add, change or delete customers and items during
the order entry process. It will also affect the order taker's
ability to change various attributes of an order, such things as;
terms codes, tax codes, warehouse assignment as well as many other
attributes.
